The Center translates cutting-edge research into accessible, high-impact learning experiences for the wider public, policymakers, civil servants, and professionals. Formalized in 2024 as an official Extension Program of the University of Brasília, our public engagement platform integrates academic excellence with societal relevance through a continuous calendar of activities.
Our main initiatives are:
- Specialized extension courses and masterclasses built directly from articles published in the Revista Brasileira de Política Internacional (RBPI);
- Thematic seminars and roundtables on current global issues (geopolitics, AI governance, climate diplomacy, hegemonic transitions, and Brazil’s international insertion);
- Executive training programs designed for public-sector leaders, diplomats, and strategic analysts;
- Large-scale open events organized with national and international partners, focused on disseminating key themes of the international agenda through online formats such as webinars, roundtables, masterclasses, and similar activities.
All activities are grounded in the Center’s three core research axes — Governance and the Anthropocene, Global Powers, and Global Development — and emphasize critical thinking, scenario analysis, and policy relevance. Through these initiatives, CEG bridges rigorous scholarship and real-world impact, strengthening public understanding of international affairs and contributing to the strategic capacity of Brazilian institutions.
