The Center for Global Studies operates a dedicated publishing program, through which it maintains a substantial collection of journals and a robust scientific dissemination strategy. The institution is responsible for the publication of the Brazilian Journal of International Politics (RBPI), the Meridiano 47 – Journal of Global Studies, and Mundorama.
In collaboration with private national and international publishers, the Center also produces scientific and supplementary textbooks. These textbooks are designed to disseminate the results of integrated research projects and support the teaching of International Relations.
Publications
The Brazilian Journal of International Politics (RBPI) is the longest-running scholarly journal in the field of International Relations in Brazil, and it is also among the most influential publications in the Global South. The RBPI is published as open access and distributed through the Scielo Brasil Collection.
The RBPI disseminates articles on subjects pertaining to International Relations (politics, economics, sociology, security, history, foreign policy, the environment, and other pressing issues of contemporary relevance), emphasising interdisciplinary approaches. The journal is open to a wide range of methodological traditions.
The journal was established in 1958 and was published until 2020 by the Brazilian Institute of International Relations (IBRI).
Meridiano 47 is an open-access academic publication dedicated to the publication of original policy analyses at the intersection of international relations, global governance, and public policy. The journal publishes contributions that are analytically rigorous, empirically grounded, and practically relevant on the formulation, implementation, and evaluation of policies with an international dimension. These contributions shed light on how public issues are governed and addressed beyond national borders.
The journal was established in March 2000 and was published until November 2019 by the Brazilian Institute of International Relations (IBRI). It underwent though a redesign in 2026.
Mundorama is an agile publication covering topics on the international agenda and Brazilian foreign policy. It publishes brief contributions on contemporary international affairs, alongside conjunctural analyses, technical notes, doctoral dissertations, master’s theses, research reports, event announcements, and news on digital collections of specialized periodicals.
The publication offers a non-exhaustive yet careful and attentive overview of the developments within Brazil’s specialized International Relations community.
