M47’s Editorial Board is pleased to announce the reopening of article submissions for Meridiano 47 — Journal of Global Studies. The journal returns to its publishing schedule under a renewed editorial policy designed to bridge the gap between rigorous scientific research and public policy decision-making, consolidating itself as an agile, premier venue dedicated to policy analysis.
In this new phase, the journal prioritizes contributions that articulate theoretical solidity, methodological rigor, and practical relevance. Articles must provide clear, evidence-based diagnoses of pressing issues on the contemporary global agenda—such as diplomacy, international security, environmental governance, trade, and transformations in the multilateral order—paired with sound, actionable recommendations for policymakers and practitioners.
Combining analytical relevance with global impact, Meridiano 47 proudly maintains its indexing status in the prestigious Web of Science, providing published authors with international visibility, peer recognition, and premier impact metrics.
Prospective authors must follow specific editorial guidelines to qualify for evaluation. In terms of authorship, manuscripts may include:
- up to three authors, with at least one author holding a master’s degree or higher;
- Abstract up 150 words, with 4 to 6 keywords in both English and Portuguese;
- 4,000 to 5,000 words including title, abstracts, keywords, and references.
Submissions require an accompanying Cover Letter addressed to the Editor-in-Chief certifying responsibility for the content, declaring the absence of conflicts of interest, confirming agreement on authorship order, and outlining each co-author’s contribution to the study. The journal strictly follows the Chicago author-date citation and reference system, limiting footnotes to brief substantive clarifications. Disclaimer notes are not accepted.
Finally, all submissions undergo a double-blind peer-review process. To ensure strict anonymity during review, the main manuscript file (submitted in editable .doc format) must be entirely stripped of author identifiers, affiliations, and acknowledgments. All biographical details—full name, institutional affiliation, educational background, ORCID ID, and acknowledgments—must be submitted separately in a standalone Title Page file.
We warmly invite scholars, researchers, diplomats, and policy analysts to submit their original work and participate in this new chapter of Meridiano 47.
